Relaxed Couples Shoot in Brighton

Back in March, I had the pleasure of shooting Lauren and Jack in one of their favourite places- Brighton! We boarded the train at Luton and two hours later we were there! Nice and easy and it meant we could relax and have a couple of drinks once the shoot was done- result!

Lauren and Jack are a fun-loving, relaxed couple who share a passion for music, going to gigs, and football (albeit they support different teams- awkward) so where better for their couple portraits than in a place that is so funky and colourful!

We started the day on the beach, using the iconic pier as an eye-catching setting, which worked well with the big neon lights and the crashing waves. Then we took a walk along the promenade down to the amusements to give the photos that funky vintage date vibe, which I hoped would match their vibe as lovers of alternative and retro music. From there we took a relaxed wander around the lanes and found some street art to use as cool backdrops.

I love Brighton for this reason; there are so many little nooks and crannies that give off an alternative energy that’s perfect for people who want their portraits to have a bit more character. Plus, all the cool pubs and bars can make the session feel like a cool day out instead of something boring or stuffy.
